Dr. Edward Chu is originally from the Washington D.C. Metropolitan Area where he participated in many different types of sports. From this aspect in his life is where he developed his passion for the way the human body works and moves. His first experience with a chiropractor occurred during these sporting moments. He found through chiropractic and sports rehabilitation he was able to get back onto the field faster and injury-free. From that point on, Dr. Chu always knew that he wanted to be involved in the healthcare profession and give back to the sporting community just like the doctors who treated him. While attending the University of Maryland, he always excelled and favored classes that dealt with life and its function. During his undergraduate courses, he attained internships at the National Institute of Health (NIH) in Bethesda, MD and the Washington National Children’s Hospital so that he could continue to learn about the aspects of healthcare. Due to his love for patient care and he decided to continue his pursuit of his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree at the Palmer Chiropractic College West, where he graduated in 2004. As a practitioner, he best describes himself as a movement specialist who is continuously working/learning to find the best solution for movement disorders of his patients, by addressing other movement patterns that may have been ignored.

Dr. Justin Lau entered into the chiropractic health care field after a personal experience he had with extreme low back pain. While training for a full contact kickboxing tournament, he suffered a severe strain to his low back. After physical therapy and medical interventions did not resolve his pain or his condition, one of his martial arts students recommended Chiropractic. He was amazed to find that within a few treatments, he was out of pain and training again. It was the first time he was out of pain in over 6 months. From that point, he immediately made a career change. Originally on the academic route towards becoming a Physical Therapist, he was motivated by the power of the human body and the amazing level of healing the body can perform when allowed to do so without interference from outside sources.

Brandon Meline is a Sacramento native that has always had a fascination with the human body. Its inner workings from nutrition, structure and function, to kinetic movements itself has always intrigued him. He has been an active participant in sports and martial arts from a child well into young adulthood.
Having spent many years participating in contact sports like muay thai, boxing, dabbling in jiu-jitsu and wrestling, and minor amateur mixed martial arts competitions, he has experienced his fair share of injuries. Acute to chronic pains from minor, major, and even debilitating injuries, along with daily workout stiffness have made him sympathetic and understanding towards others and theirs.
Eventually, being sidelined by sports related injuries, he was no longer able to continue to participate in the sports and activities he loved. A solid night sleep and simple activities that he once took for granted soon became a thing of the past.
Tired of being prescribed pain killers and muscle relaxers to mask his pain symptoms, he sought help in the form of deep tissue sports massage. Here he found the best results for actually taking care of his ailments, not just masking symptoms with meds.
In 2010 he graduated from Bryan College School of Massage (Gold River), 500+ hour program as a massage therapist. Continuing to study the dynamics of muscular structure and function, he earned his Active Release Techniques Certification in 2015.
In 2013 he was eventually able to link up with Elite Spinal and Sports Care. He was able stay active in the athletic community by providing bodywork and maintenance to others to help them with their function and mobility. He found a new passion in helping others continue to do and stay active in the things that they love.

I discovered the transformational benefits of massage therapy through my devotion to and exploration of the growing field of holistic health. Personally experiencing the benefits of alternative forms of care for the body through massage was influential in starting the journey to become a certified massage therapist.
Growing up in an athletic family, injuries were commonplace and recovery from them through sports massage and deep tissue techniques was highly valued as a healing method. As I got older I quickly realized not everything can or should be fixed with pharmaceutical intervention. Going back to our ancestral roots, I began looking into a wide variety of natural remedies and modalities to stimulate and complement our innate healing capacities.
Massage has been a way of holistic healing for thousands of years and this captured my interest as an expression of the physical healing arts that I would like to learn and perfect. To alleviate someone’s stress or pain by using only my own body as the tool has been a life-changing experience for myself. I embarked upon and completed the 800 hour massage therapy program at National Holistic Institute and found a future in something I’m truly passionate about.
